Agate Pass Bridge closed for emergency call

The Agate Pass Bridge was closed briefly before 8 p.m. Tuesday night after police were called after a person was seen leaning over the railing of the bridge.

Few details of the incident were immediately available.

Multiple police and EMS units responded to the scene, and the person was contacted and taken to the parking lot of the nearby Clearwater Casino for an evaluation.

The person was eventually transported for treatment, according to the Bainbridge Island Fire Department.

The bridge was reopened to traffic just after 8 p.m. March 5.
