May 21, 2010 · 4:14 PM
The Bainbridge Island Review is now small enough to fit in your pocket. The Review has rolled out its first iPhone app, which is now available—for free—on the iPhone and iPod Touch. An app for the Android operating system is expected soon.
The app provides easy mobile access to all content on the Review's website, as well as added functionality such as:
- The ability to share stories via e-mail, text message, Twitter or Facebook;
- The option to send video or photos of breaking news directly to the newsroom;
- Weather forecasts;
- Traffic maps;
- Local advertising.
Local businesses will be able to reach the valuable mobile market through innovative new advertising programs.
To download the iPhone app, follow this link to the App Store or do a search in iTunes for Bainbridge Island Review.
