Bainbridge council narrows manager search down to one candidate
May 20, 2010 · Updated 11:10 AM
The City Council took another step this week toward hiring a new city manager, according to Interim City Manager Lee Walton.
Walton said Thursday that the council interviewed and discussed two finalists at an executive session meeting Wednesday, and has narrowed its discussion down to one candidate.
"It's fair to say the council has its favorite, but there is no agreement yet," Walton said. "We'll try to settle that over the next few days."
Walton wouldn't identify the finalists of the extensive search, which has gone on for months with more than a dozen hours of executive sessions spent interview several candidates.
Walton was hired after Mark Dombroski left the post at the end of October 2009.
