SR 305 closed at Madison Avenue after traffic collision
December 10, 2009 · Updated 2:33 PM
One woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center Thursday morning following a traffic accident that closed all lanes of State Route 305 at Madison Avenue for two hours.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. an elderly driver in a tan Toyota, heading north on SR 305, drifted right, into the shoulder lane. Police said the driver over-corrected to the left, lost control and hit the rear driver side of a white van carrying numerous granite counter tops.
Police said the van attempted to swerve away from the car but could not avoid it. The driver and passenger in the van received minor injuries and refused treatment.
Northbound traffic was re-routed onto Madison Avenue east of SR 305, while southbound traffic was sent to Sportsman Club Road until 12:30 p.m.
