High winds expected throughout Western Washington

The National Weather Service has issued a high-wind advisory for Western Washington through Monday night.

It is predicted that gusts could be as high as 50 mph this morning, possibly increasing to 60 mph in the afternoon. A high-wind watch will continue into Tuesday afternoon.

In its forecast, The National Weather Service predicts the island will be hit by winds between 29 and 32 mph today, with gusts decreasing to around 20 mph over night.
