September 24, 2009 · Updated 2:54 PM
A man was reported missing Thursday from the 8:45 a.m. ferry to Seattle after he failed to return to a taxi he rode aboard the boat.
U.S. Coast Guard officials checked the video of all the passengers disembarking and found the man exiting the ferry.
Susan Harris, spokeswoman for Washington State Ferries, said a man boarded the boat in a Bainbridge taxi on the way to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The driver of the cab reported that the man didn't return to the cab when the boat docked in Seattle.
The Wenatchee is now running 15 minutes behind schedule.
