Summer is coming, and so are peak season ferry fares.

Beginning Friday, May 1, Washington State Ferries will raise fare prices by 25 percent on most routes. The increase does not affect passenger fares or frequent user multi-ride fares.

Bainbridge vehicle fares will jump from $11.55 to $14.45.

See WSF's website for more information.

The state Department of Transportation will also close Hood Canal Bridge Friday for a six week restoration project. A free water shuttle with transit connections will be made available. Find details at the DOT project page.
