Poulsbo bank robbed Tuesday afternoon; police release suspect photos

POULSBO — WestSound Bank, located on the corner of State Route 305 and Viking Way in Poulsbo, was robbed just before 1:20 p.m., Tuesday afternoon.
Poulsbo officials, along with several other area law enforcement agencies, are continuing to search for the suspected bank robber in North Kitsap. According to Kitsap County Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson, the suspect is believed to be unarmed.
According to Wilson, the suspect is a white male, approximately 55-65 years old. The man reportedly walked into the bank and said he had kids and needed money. He asked a teller to put money in a bag for him. He did not display a weapon.
The man was wearing a cowboy hat and a New England Patriots jacket; unconfirmed reports say he is driving a dark red truck with a black stripe.
Citizens are asked to call 911 with any information.
