An overnight snowfall on Bainbridge and North Kitsap could be the precursor to a new winter weather system, according to the National Weather Service.

NWS is forecasting occasional showers Monday and Monday night, with more snow possible in the region Tuesday. Partly cloudy skies and daytime temperatures in the low 40s are expected to close out the week, beginning Wednesday.
