A bomb threat found scrawled in a womens' changing room forced a brief evacuation of the Bainbridge Aquatic Center Wednesday afternoon. Bainbridge Police and Aquatic Center personnel found nothing suspicious in a search of the building and the pool was reopened.

Aquatic Center Manager Jamie Whitney said that just after 3 p.m. a citizen reported finding the threat, which was sloppily written on top of a toilet paper dispenser in a bathroom stall. The message read "Bomb @ Pool 10/8/08" according to a police report.

Aquatic Center personnel evacuated the building and called police. The building was reopened following a one-and-a-half-hour search.

Whitney said several high school swim teams were using the facility at the time of evacuation.
