A 69-year-old Bainbridge man, found dead at the base of a cliff off Sunset Avenue last week, died of accidental injuries to his head and neck, according to the Kitsap County Coroner's office.

Bainbridge Deputy Police Chief Mark Duncan said his department found no evidence of foul play in its investigation of the apparent fall.

A resident of Sunset Avenue first discovered the body of David Beasley Aug. 28, on the beach at the base of a 30-foot cliff. Police found evidence that someone had fallen from a trail at the top of the cliff, which adjoined Beasley's property.

Beasley was a Montana native and an island resident since 1984, according to an obituary provided by Cook Family Funeral Home.
