Here come the Spartans: BHS squad returns to the field for season's first practice | SLIDESHOW

The Bainbridge High School football team returned to the gridiron Wednesday, Aug. 20 for the first of the season's mandatory practices.

Wednesday's practice came after the season's official start at the first ever Spartan Bowl scrimmage and cookout event Saturday and the following overnight retreat at the high school earlier in the week.

The Spartans' first game of the season is slated to take place on the road at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5 at North Kitsap High School.

The team's first home game of the season is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 against Everett High School.

Review photographers Luciano Marano and Shaun Christean were on hand to watch the Spartans start fall practice this week; here are some of their favorite shots.
