Bainbridge ranks third in safe city poll

Bainbridge Island was recently named the third safest city in the state by the real estate blog Movoto.

“The city of Bainbridge Island may well be known as a tech city,” wrote Movoto staff writer Natalie Grigson. “But it is also one of the safest in the state with just 1,277 crimes per 100,000 in 2012.”

The safest place to live in the state, according to the blog, is Sammamish, which totaled just 762 crimes per 100,000. Snoqualmie was ranked second.
