Lt. Cmdr John Harris to be honored with motorcycle ride

A viewing and memorial has been set for tomorrow and Saturday at Tuell-McKee Funeral Home in Tacoma for Lt. Cmdr John David Harris.

Harris will also be honored this afternoon in the Target parking lot in Silverdale. Motorcyclists will gather around 4 p.m., and a ride will start at 4:30 p.m. to his home in Port Orchard. Harris was a motorcycle enthusiast, friends and family said.

His viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and a memorial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the 2215 Sixth Ave., Tacoma funeral home.

The 36-year-old was killed in a motorcycle accident on Feb. 26 at the intersection near Target.
