A memorial service has been announced for Russell David Johnson.

Russell was an American television and film actor best known as the Professor on the CBS television sitcom "Gilligan's Island." He passed away at his residence on Bainbridge Island on Thursday, Jan. 16 at the age of 89.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Kiana Lodge: 14976 Sandy Hook Road Northeast in Poulsbo.

Johnson is survived by his wife Constance Johnson; daughter Kimberly Johnson; sister Lorraine Crosby; step-son Court Dane; grandson Max Dane; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son David Johnson.
