UPDATE | Transient arrested on Bainbridge, believed to be suspect in 40 car prowls

A 21-year-old transient has been jailed in connection with a spree of car prowls on Bainbridge Island.

Aaron Michaels Bylsma was arrested by Bainbridge Island Police late Tuesday afternoon. Authorities said Bylsma may be involved in as many as three car thefts, three burglaries and nearly 40 car prowls since Dec. 9.

Bylsma was booked into Kitsap County Jail for car prowling. His bail has been set at $5,000.
