Bainbridge city council to hold last SMP public hearing
The Bainbridge Island City Council will hold its final public hearing to discuss the city's updated Shoreline Master Program at this week's meeting.
Planning Director Kathy Cook will present the revised draft of the SMP as it was brought forward at the Nov. 13 council meeting.
During the public hearing, comments will be limited to discuss the Department of Ecology's "required" and "recommended" changes, city staff's proposed alternative language to the draft and other changes made since the city's May 8 public hearing.
Public testimony will also be limited to one hour and each speaker will be given 2 to 3 minutes to speak, depending on the number of speakers signed up.
The hearing starts at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday following a public hearing over the 2014 property tax levy.
The city council meets every Wednesday in city hall.
