The next Building A Sustainable Economy lecture will take a close look at  “slow food” and the concept of “legitimate local.”

Michael Kanter, chief visionary officer of Cambridge Naturals, is the guest speaker.

Kanter will talk about family health, natural products and community-based businesses. “Taking Local to the Next Level,” is his topic of the next BASE talk at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

A reception will follow the free lecture.

RSVP for the talk at www.bi-local.eventbrite.com. Remaining seats will be on a first-come, first-serve basis at the door.

The BASE lecture series is sponsored by Bainbridge Graduate Institute, the Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce, Sustainable Bainbridge and the Bainbridge Public Library.
