With deep pride, Joe Riley of Seattle and Stacey Riley of Bainbridge Island announce the graduation of their son, Lance Cpl. Andrew Riley from U.S. Marine Corps basic training on May 31, 2013 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif.

Riley was initially scheduled to graduate in November 2012, but suffered a very serious injury during the last few days of basic training and was transferred to the medical facility on base for six months.

Riley, a 2011 graduate of Bainbridge High School, is now completing his specialty training at Camp Gilbert H. Johnson in North Carolina.
