Wilkes Elementary holds science fair on Thursday

Captain Charles Wilkes Elementary will host its annual open house and science fair this week.

The open house is from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, and the science fair will be held in the commons from 6 to 7:30pm.

Wilkes staff is reminding students that science fair projects can be dropped off and set up in the commons from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Projects can also be dropped off before school from 7:15 to 8 a.m. Thursday.  Large projects, messy projects, or projects with glass should not be transported on the bus.

Students and parents dropping off projects should use the outside walkway along the playground and enter through the commons door by the gym.

The school is still looking for a few volunteers to help make the science fair a success; follow this link to the sign-up sheet.
