Bainbridge Island's Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers have moved to a new location on Ericksen Avenue.

The organization vacated its previous location on Madison Avenue for new digs at 375 Ericksen Ave., Suite 212.

“The new office will enhance IVC’s mission of helping neighbors in need, a mission that is growing each year,” said Dick Goff, president of Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers.

“It provides the improved space, layout and accessibility that we need for our staff’s efficient coordination of volunteer services, for interviews and conferences and for our related outreach and operational activities,” he said.

The volunteer caregivers is a nonprofit effort to provide services for the elderly and disabled or other people in need. The caregivers help drive residents to appointments, do shopping or other errands. The services are offered free of charge.

Last year, a total of 145 volunteer caregivers contributed more than 7,300 hours to help 193 of their fellow community members.

The phone number and mailing address for Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers will remain the same as in the past. The organization can be contacted at 206-842-4441, and at PO Box 11253, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.
