Council quorum expected at reception for police chief finalists

Bainbridge Island city officials have decided to give notice that this week's reception for finalists for the vacant police chief position will also be a special meeting of the city council.

The reception for the five finalists is 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at city hall.

City officials said that because there may be a quorum of the council present at the reception, the city was posting the event as a special meeting of the council.
