Kitsap Conservation Voters to hold annual Environmental Forum

Kitsap Conservation Voters will host its annual Environmental Forum with all three Kitsap County commissioners next month in Poulsbo.

The free forum is 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at the Island Lake Community Center.

The public is welcome to attend and ask Kitsap County commissioners about their policies, performance and future plans on the county’s key environmental issues.

In addition to questions from the audience, topics will also include reducing stormwater pollution in Puget Sound, rural development, the Growth Management Act, and preserving some 7,000 acres of shoreline and forest around Port Gamble Bay for public use, trails and open space.

The Island Lake Community Center is at 1087 NW Island Lake Road.

For more information, contact Gene Bullock, Kitsap Conservation Voters chairman, at 360-394-5635.
