"POLICE BLOTTERBainbridge Police reported the following incidents:DECEMBER 2210:15 a.m. A purse containing $200 cash, plus several credit cards, was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Cherry Avenue.2:30 p.m. An Agate Point Road resident reported that a housecleaner stole 16 checks, and wrote out two totalling $11,400. The incident is under investigation by the bank.DECEMBER 238:40 a.m. Extensive graffiti damage was reported on the outside of a Madison Avenue building.1 p.m. Cash was reported stolen from a purse at a Madison Avenue apartment, while the resident was away at lunch.1:30 p.m. A greeting card and money were reported stolen on Madison Avenue, after being left on a table for another person to pick up.5:05 p.m. A dispute between a homeowner and a truckdriver was reported on Lariat Loop, after the trucker parked his semi blocking the woman’s driveway.5:24 p.m. Officers responded to a call of self-induced wounds on High School Road. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.7:35 p.m. A Sportsman Club Road resident reported finding a harassing message on his answering machine, in violation of a restraining order. Officers determined that the restraining order had not yet been served by Seattle police.11:18 p.m. A rogue plumber was reported on Madison Avenue. The caller said he hired an employee to perform various plumbing jobs around the island, but the jobs were never completed, $200 was missing from the outfit’s till, and the worker still had the company van.DECEMBER 249:58 p.m. A youth was arrested for possession of alcohol and marijuana, and a passenger cited for marijuana possession, after a traffic stop for a defective license plate light on North Madison Avenue.4:46 a.m. A High School Road resident reported waking up to find her neighbor in bed with her. She left the room to stay with her roommate, and the neighbor was cited for trespassing.9:15 a.m. A wallet containing credit cards and $150 cash was reported stolen from a boat moored off Parfitt Way. The owner had left the wallet in a pants pocket when he left the vessel.12:30 p.m. A credit card was reported stolen from a Henderson Road mailbox while the owner was out of town. Before the victim returned and discovered the theft, the card was used to make various purchases around Kitsap County.3:55 p.m. A day planner was reported stolen from a parked vehicle on High School Road. A suspect then tried to withdraw funds from the victim’s bank account; the suspect was identified by the bank, and will be contacted by police.5:35 p.m. A possible DUI driver was reported at Ferncliff/Winslow Way, and the case was turned over to the State Patrol.DECEMBER 2512:04 a.m. A death was reported on Madison Avenue. Officers determined that the elderly woman had had a history of strokes as well as terminal cancer.8:15 a.m. A package containing a Christmas gift valued at $30 was reported stolen from among mail on the front porch of a Shannon Drive home.10:45 a.m. A Crystal Lane resident reported phone harassment by his wife, who had left the household.4:30 p.m. Skateboarders were reported trespassing on Winslow Way, having refused to leave the grounds despite the requests of the property owner. One suspect was contacted by officers, and another made off on foot, leaving behind his skateboard and one shoe.DECEMBER 269:10 a.m. Several mailboxes were reported damaged in the Blakely Heights area. An officer also found that a fence had been damaged. The homeowner was away from the residence.11 a.m. A Meadowmeer Circle resident reported this his daughter’s car was damaged while it was parked outside their residence. The windshield was found smashed, and the hood repeatedly dented.5 p.m. Several stop signs were reported pulled up in the Blakely Heights/Baker Hill area.11:21 p.m. An attempted car prowl was reported on Grow Avenue, foiled by a car alarm. DECEMBER 274:48 p.m. A false alarm was reported on Green Spot Place.2:55 p.m. A suspect known to have warrants from Kitsap County was arrested while attending to other matters at the municipal court building on Valley Road.DECEMBER 288:38 a.m. Graffiti was reported on a sign at the country club entrance on Country Club Road."
