March 3, 2013 · Updated 8:35 AM
The Bainbridge Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2013 Community Grants Cycle.
Nonprofit organizations located in Washington state and serving Bainbridge Island residents are encouraged to apply. Grants that directly benefit the community, help the greatest number of people or underserved populations, and that have measurable outcomes will receive priority.
Since its inception in 2005, the Bainbridge Community Foundation has awarded $829,328 to community organizations through the Community Grants Cycle. In 2012, 53 grants totaling $137,000 were awarded.
The deadline for grant applications is noon March 18. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions in mid-June.
A link to the online application and timeline information can be found on the foundation’s website at www.bainbridgecommunityfoundation.org.
