Studio tour seeks artists for 2013 events

The Bainbridge Island Studio Tour is now accepting applications from artists who would like to participate in this year's summer and winter tours.

The tours are scheduled for Aug. 9-11 and Dec. 6-8, and will be held at artists’ studios and community halls around the Island.

The tours draw thousands of art lovers from throughout the region. This year marks the 13th year for the summer tour and the 30th anniversary for the winter event.

Artwork must be original and created by the artist, with attention to craftsmanship and quality. Artists must also live within the Olympic Peninsula.

The deadline to apply for the summer tour is April 15, and the deadline for the winter tour is July 31.

Artists can apply for both events at this time, and early registration is recommended. Tour officials also note there is an early bird option due March 15.
