Monday, Dec. 17
11:16 a.m. Mail was opened and then placed back into a mailbox on Pleasant Beach Drive.
Thursday, Dec. 20
9:25 a.m. A resident on Blue Heron Avenue reported that gas was stolen overnight from two vans in his driveway. He discovered the gas caps on both vans were off and his gas tanks almost empty when he went to his vehicles that morning.
Saturday, Dec. 22
1:30 a.m. Police pulled over a vehicle on Highway 305 and West Port Madison Road. The driver appeared intoxicated. Breath tests indicated a .165 and .154 blood alcohol level. The driver was arrested for DUI.
11:38 a.m. The glass in a bus stop on the corner of Cosgrove Street and Wyatt Way was smashed out.
Sunday, Dec. 23
8:32 a.m. A woman housesitting a home on Washington Avenue reported that a car was stolen. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left inside.
12:32 p.m. A woman reported a hit-and-run in the parking lot of the Town & Country Market on Winslow Way. She said it wasn’t a big deal and the car only swiped the tire of her SUV. Police tracked down the offending driver who told police that she got out and saw no damage so she drove away. Both agreed that it wasn’t a big enough incident for any further action.
