Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

Friday, Dec. 7

3:12 p.m. Tire marks were left on a lawn on Battle Point Drive.

Saturday, Dec. 8

1:20 p.m. A woman came to the police station and said her boyfriend assaulted her that day. The boyfriend returned home early that morning after a night of drinking. He started playing with his Xbox game while the couple was arguing. The girlfriend pulled the Xbox headphones off his head. He responded by grabbing her by the neck and throwing her to the ground. The boyfriend left the home and had not been seen since. Police attempted to contact him but the boyfriend did not answer his phone.

2:14 p.m. A couple was found arguing east of NE New Brooklyn Road. The argument was over spreading germs in the home and how to properly cough. Both were sick and the wife didn’t want them to get their young daughter sick.

7:49 p.m. An islander reported that a “resourceful person” stole their credit card information to make two online purchases totaling $601. The unknown person had the merchandise sent to California, and used a rather inflammatory email address as contact information.
