Bainbridge Island Republican Women host January luncheon

Bainbridge Island Republican Women will gather for their January luncheon at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 at the Wing Point Golf & Country Club.

The cost of lunch is $17; RSVP at 206-337-5543 or rsvp@bainbridgeislandrepublicanwomen.org.

The guest speaker will be Peter Apgar, community educator for the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management, who will talk on emergency preparedness.

The organization installed its incoming officers for 2013 at the group's meeting on Dec. 12.

Robbie Sitzman, former BIRW president, led the induction.

The new officers are: Dianne Stever, president; Mary Dombrowski, 1st vice president; Jo Nelson, Brenda

Erickson, Trish McGuire, 2nd vice president; Virginia Paul, treasurer; Debbie Patten, recording secretary; Mariann Tonder and Anne Air, corresponding secretary; and Patty Mylar, fundraising.
