TUESDAY

A mini workshop about opening one’s heart using rose quartz and the heart chakra is on for tonight, Feb. 13, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Banners Banquet Room. $15 at the door. Call the Amethyst bookstore for more info: 604-792-3730.

Check out the Lions Club Music and Dance festival at the Arts Centre, Feb. 9 to March 16. The Dance portion culminates March 4 with a final dance concert at 1:30 p.m. Below is Leah Snelgrove, 17.

THURSDAY

The Vancouver Aquarium AquaVan rolls into Chilliwack Mall Feb. 15, 3 to 8 p.m with educators running programs with live animals, props and activities. Kids get the chance to touch a sea star, learn about barnacles and see a hermit crab up close.

FRIDAY

Chilliwack and District Senior Resources Society Time Out Program is holding a Vintage Fashion Show Monday Feb. 19, in the Mt. Cheam Lions Club Hall at 1 p.m. It’s also coincidentally B.C. Heritage Day. The show is researched and produced by fashion collector/historian Kerin Edberg-Lee of Mission. Tickets are $10 including tea/coffee, fancy sandwiches and sweets. Door prizes.
