Historic Preservation Commission holds retreat this week

The Bainbridge Island Historic Preservation Commission will hold its annual retreat later this week.
The seven-member advisory board will talk about areas of its work that may need improvement, and a discussion is also planned of the historic preservation goals that are set out in the city's comprehensive plan.
The commission will also talk about its work plan for 2013 and set priorities.
A discussion of the Blakely Award is also on the agenda.
The retreat is 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 at the residence of Commissioner William Shopes.
