Traffic delays expected near Bainbridge terminal

December 10, 2012 · 11:51 AM

Traffic signal testing on Winslow Way and Harborview Drive SE may hold up traffic during the afternoon on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

The state Department of Transportation and Washington State Ferries will conduct tests to modifications that have been made to the traffic signals near the ferry dock, and officials said the signal's green time at both intersections will be extended for the first three minutes of the ferry's off-loading.

Officials said drivers should anticipate traffic delays in the area near the terminal as sailings arrive in Bainbridge at 4:20, 5:10 and 6:05 p.m.
