PSE restores power after outage

November 27, 2012 · 10:17 AM

Power has been restored on Bainbridge Island to more than 4,000 Puget Sound Energy customers.

Approximately 4,300 customers lost electricity about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, said PSE spokeswoman Lindsey Walimaki.

Residents along Madison Avenue and on both sides of High School Road were without power for an hour or more.

Walimaki said the customers are served by two different distribution circuits, and local servicemen responded and restored power to about 2,800 customers served by the first distribution circuit around 8:45 a.m.

At about 9:15, the remaining 1,500 customers were restored, Walimaki said.

Workers have spent the morning patrolling the lines, but have not yet found the cause of the outage.
