Police department holds second town hall meeting

The Bainbridge Island Police Department will hold its second town hall meeting to address community concerns with island policing.

The town hall meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Fire Station 23 at 12985 Phelps Road.

City officials said the meeting will be informal and open to the entire island community. It will be an open forum for islanders to ask questions or make comments about their police department.

Panelists expected to attend include Interim Public Safety Director Larry Dickerson, Commander Sue Shultz, Lieutenant Chris Jensen, Detective Michael Tovar and Harbormaster Tami Allen.
