“The Incredibles” is more than just a song.

It’s also a pretty apt description for Bainbridge High School’s marching band.

The island’s marching band won first place in the “A” division at the 2012 Auburn Veterans’ Day Parade and Marching Band Competition on Saturday, Nov. 10. It was a winning finish to their 2012 season.

With their field show “The Incredibles,” the band stood out in a crowd of

32 bands from Washington and Oregon.

They came home with more than one honor. The band also won third place out of 10 bands in the midday parade, as well as coming away with four caption awards for their division, including best marching, best color guard, best percussion, and best general effect.

With the recognition earned at the competition, the band was ranked

11th out of 26 bands, beating out many bands from 2A and 3A schools.
