Veterans Day dinner at Post 172

The American Legion Colin Hyde Post 172 will be holding its annual Veterans Day dinner this coming Sunday, Nov. 11.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be professor Ed Palm, a retired Marine Corps major.

Following his remarks, the post will be awarding its prestigious “Legionnaire of the Year” trophy and presenting “continuous service stars” in five year increments  to eligible Legionnaires.

The dinner will be held at the post hall, located at 7880 NE Bucklin Hill Road. All Legionnaires, Auxiliary members and Sons of the American Legion members along with their invited guests, as well as active duty military, reservists and Guardsmen are cordially encouraged to attend.

The evening will start off at 5 p.m. with a social hour followed by the traditional roast beef dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person or a donation. There is no charge for active duty military in uniform.
