Rolfes wins new term as 23rd District senator
November 6, 2012 · 9:04 PM
State Sen. Christine Rolfes will serve another term for the 23rd Legislative District.
Rolfes had 63 percent of the vote Tuesday against her temporary candidate Bret A. Treadwell in the first vote tally on Election Night.
Treadwell, a Republican who decided not to campaign for the position shortly after he filed as a candidate, had 35 percent of the vote. His announcement that he was stepping aside came too late for his name to be removed from the ballot, however.
With 41,878 ballots counted, Rolfes had 26,793 votes and Treadwell, 15,017.
