Bainbridge lawyer on her way to Washington Supreme Court

Sheryl Gordon McCloud is on her way to becoming a justice on the Washington Supreme Court.
The Bainbridge Island lawyer was leading in the first vote tally against former justice Richard B. Sanders on Election Night.
McCloud, who is running for public office for the first time, had 55 percent of all ballots cast on Nov. 6.
Sanders had collected 44 percent in the race for Justice Position 9.
A total of 1.2 million votes have been tallied so far in the race.
