Inslee headquarters in Seattle is burglarized

The Seattle headquarters for Washington State Democrats, Organizing for America, and Jay Inslee for Washington was burglarized early Tuesday morning, an official with the Washington State Democrats said.

Washington State Democrats spokesman Benton Strong said the break-in was being investigated.

"Early this morning, the Seattle headquarters office housing the Washington State Democrats, Organizing for America, and Jay Inslee for Washington was the site of a burglary. The Seattle Police Department is currently investigating, and no further details will be available until the conclusion," Strong said in a statement.

"Today is the biggest day of this election, and our staff and volunteers are focused on the effort to talk to thousands of voters across Washington state. We are looking forward to getting out as many votes as possible before 8 p.m. tonight," he said.
