Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

12:36 p.m. An island resident reported that an unknown person attempted to purchase a Caribbean cruise using their credit card number. The bank was able to block the transaction.

11:42 a.m. An unknown person shot a cat living on Manzanita Road. X-ray images showed an object lodged in the right rear leg of the animal. Police noted that it was most likely a pellet.

4:07 p.m. A man living on High School Road called 911 repeatedly about a break-up he was having with his soon-to-be ex-girlfriend. The boyfriend was concerned that his girlfriend would take their child to another state and deny him visits. Both parties agreed to take a break for the night and discuss the issue at a later time.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

4:19 p.m. An iPhone was stolen out of a backpack at Bainbridge High School while its owner was in class. The backpack was left unattended outside a teacher’s office. Zippers on the backpack were broken.
