College planning expert leads program on paying for college

Bainbridge High School will host a special program tonight called "Paying for College Without Going Broke!"

Paula Bishop, a certified college planning specialist, will lead the program. She will talk about qualifying for financial aid, how to apply for assistance, scholarships, colleges that give merit awards, and other related topics.

Bishop is a certified public accountant, and has a finance degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a master's in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

The seminar is presented by the Bainbridge High School PTSO as part of the Parent Education Program.

The program begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 in the commons.
