Small fire breaks out in pool's boiler room at Bainbridge Aquatics Center

A small fire broke out in the boiler room to the Ray Williamson Pool at the Bainbridge Aquatics Center on Monday night, but the facility's sprinkler system quickly extinguished the fire.

Firefighters with the Bainbridge Island Fire Department responded to the center on Madison Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. Oct. 15. First-responders then reported within minutes that the fire had been extinguished.
