October 2, 2012 · 2:04 PM

The Washington State Patrol said a driver from Bainbridge Island was responsible for a two-car crash on Highway 104 about one mile west of Kingston Tuesday morning.

The State Patrol said Jay A. Schadel, 74, of Bainbridge failed to yield the right of way when he pulled his 1997 Toyota pickup out of a driveway and into the path of a 1998 Buick Century driven by a 24-year-old Nordland woman.

The other driver, identified as Cassandra M. Tillman, was injured in the accident and taken to Harrison Bremerton.
