Spartans can't overcome bad first quarter.

BELLEVUE - The Bainbridge girls basketball team came out flat and it cost them.

Seattle Prep players connected on ten three-pointers in the game as they defeated the Spartans 63-46 at Bellevue Community College in a 3A Sea-King District 2 winner-to-state game.

Bainbridge scored just four points in the first quarter while Kelsey Blais and Brittany McMilian hit three pointers to put the Panthers up early.

Monica Salazar hit three threes in the second quarter, but Emily Farrar hit a three while Anna Wood and Jesse Vincent converted on three point plays to help keep it close.

The Spartans got as close as seven in the third, but that was it, as Prep went on a run to put the game out of reach.

Bainbridge plays at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at BCC in a loser-out game against Nathan Hale or Skyline.
