Council selects final candidates for city manager
September 6, 2012 · 3:59 PM
The Bainbridge Island City Council has chosen its final five. But it won’t reveal them just yet.
The final five candidates for the city manager position have been invited to travel to the island, with their spouses, at the city’s expense for an interview with the council on Monday, Sept. 17. The Bainbridge Island community will also have a chance to meet each candidate at a public meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18. The meet and greet will be at city hall. Councilman David Ward said that Councilwoman Anne Blair may even be baking cookies for the event.
One of the five candidates will likely be the next city manager.
The council has said it wants to offer the job to an applicant by the end of the month.
