Council to select final few

August 31, 2012 · 12:23 PM

The search for a new city manger will continue on Sept. 1 when the Bainbridge Island City Council meets with Ron Holifield and Tom Muehlenbeck of Strategic Government Resources.

The meeting will be held behind closed doors in an executive session. The council will once again narrow the field of candidates for the position to a mere handful.

Candidates who make the cut will be asked to come to Bainbridge Island on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 for an interview with the council and to meet the community. Candidates will travel with their spouses at the city’s expense and attend a meet-and-greet at city hall.

The council hopes to offer the job to a qualified candidate by the end of September.
