Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

Friday, Aug. 10

4:02 p.m. Police responded to a report of an assault on Parfitt Way. A man who worked at a restaurant in the area said that a former roommate had punched him in the face before driving off and added, “This isn’t over yet.”

The man said that his former roommate believed he owed him money, which was not true. His parents paid his former roommate just to settle the matter. The man also said he was a medical marijuana user and said his former roommate had stolen his medication in the past.

Police contacted the former roommate who said he didn’t punch the man, but sort of fell into him. He also said the man still owed him money and he had not been paid back by the man’s parents.

Police arrested the former roommate for assault.
