Road work coming on Madison Avenue

August 2, 2012 · 3:25 PM

Madison Avenue is scheduled to receive a safety facelift starting the week of Aug. 6.

Construction will be on Madison between New Brooklyn Road and Highway 305. The work will be performed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and will last until September.

Traffic will be limited to a single lane during construction.

Pavement repairs, an asphalt overlay, and the installation of widened shoulders, radar signs and a concrete sidewalk are all part of the improvements.

The work is being paid for by a $240,000 state grant.
