Bainbridge fire officials looking for new business administrator

The Bainbridge Island Fire Department is continuing its search for a new business administrator for the department.

The position is currently vacant, though the department had brought in a temporary employee for a few weeks earlier this spring.

The salary range is $81,634 to $102,042; qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or public administration; a minimum of eight years of progressive management experience; excellent communication skills; computer proficiency; experience in developing and preparing long-range financial plans; experience in writing policies and procedures; experience in human resource administration and working within a fire district, city, county or similar public agency.

The application deadline in May 31.

The department plans to conduct an initial panel interview and executive panel interview in early June, with the fire chief’s interview following on June 26-27.
