School bus hits telephone pole on Eagle Harbor Drive

Eagle Harbor Drive has been closed to traffic after a school bus hit a telephone pole.

The accident occurred at Eagle Harbor Drive and New Sweden Avenue.

There were no children on the school bus, only the driver.

Units responding from the fire department were turned around after it was reported that no injuries resulted from the accident.

The bus has not been removed from its present position as police fear that the telephone pole may come down as a result. There is currently no estimate on how long the closure will last.

Eagle Harbor Drive has been barricaded, and drivers are being asked to avoid the area around Eagle Harbor Drive and New Sweden Avenue.
